The 2024 lineup for Bourbon & Beyond features Neil Young, Zach Bryan, Sunny Day Real Estate, and more.

 This year's "Beyond" has been made clear by Bourbon & Beyond. The Louisville music festival's lineup is now available, and it's amazing. The poster lists three other headliners in order of preference: veteran jammers Dave Matthews Band, grittier young country superstars Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers, and living legend Neil Young. The next line features a plethora of high-profile indie dad-rock acts, including Beck, the National, the War On Drugs, and hometown favorites My Morning Jacket (as well as Matchbox Twenty, who, let's be honest, probably have some nostalgic appeal for the indie dad-rock audience).

 The Beach Boys are buried a few lines deep, and until you realize it's just the Mike Love Beach Boys and not Brian Wilson, it feels even more disrespectful than the Neil Young thing. There are also the Wallflowers, Melissa Etheridge, Lyle Lovett, Sierra Ferrell, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Fleet Foxes, Maren Morris, and, what's this? Sunny Day Real Estate, the emo pioneers reunited once more? Yes, of course! Jr. Dinosaur? Why not? Not to be forgotten are the following: Madi Diaz, Soul Asylum, M. Ward, Son Volt, Bruce Hornsby, Lucius, Hiss Golden Messenger, and the Bacon Brothers? Bourbon & Beyond, you're crazy about this one!

The event takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center's Highland Festival Grounds from September 19–22 this year.
